Poem- All for You

by Crystal Torres on February 10, 2015

Would you have my desire?
It is all for you already
I want to tease your mouth with my kisses
fill your hands with my breasts
Is that what you want me to say?
Then what?
Shall we lament the impossibility of it all?
steal just a taste?
How far can we stretch our good intentions
before one of us breaks?
I will never forgive you
if you give me what I want
not like this
Not even for you
will I become a thief
Let me keep my desires to myself
even if they are
all for you

barbedThere is a very greedy, very frustrated, part of me. It is willing to take what it has no right to. Luckily, that is not the part of me that I make decisions with. It is however the source of a great deal of my poetry. It wants and it wants and it wants and I write and I write and I write.

When life gives me lemons, I make poetry.
