Her Game

Hello, how is she?
All I ever hear
Hello where is she?
If she isn't near

God, I missed her!
Your eyes dare to exclaim
Fool to kiss her
And fall into her game

You think it's all about you
The silence that she gave
It's more than you can do
To lead me to my grave

She told me not to touch
And I obeyed
Flesh only means so much
Fair enough a trade

I thought I might keep something
Friendship, nothing more
But now I'm left with nothing
Behind a slamming door

I thought I loved you
That we both loved for a night
Now tell me true
what splendor there is in flight

Can you still remember
Poetry, I thought was for me
Late into November
What you wrote so beautifully

Foolish one to assume
That you cared at all
Blind to my doom
I glowed that you should call

How is she? Will she talk?
Send her love for me.
What predator do you stalk?
What blind man tries to see?

She's accepted you now
Love her as you will
She's broken me somehow
That might be your thrill

Whatever your reason
I won't play for you
It's a fresh new season
and a sad adieu

To the winner of the game
I say good luck
Things are still the same
A fuck is just a fuck.
